Job Description

RESERVATIONS MANAGERThe Reservations Manager is responsible for providing oversight of the Reservations function for the hotel. This individual helps to ensure reservations are handled in a friendly and efficient manner and quotes of available rates are made to maximize room revenue and average rate according to property standards. He/she is also responsible for participating in weekly revenue calls.

Job Duties & FunctionsEnsure all incoming reservation calls are answered in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner, as outlined in SOPCommunicate and work closely with the Sales Department concerning group & leisure bookings and Revenue Management to ensure all systems are effectively managed to maximize occupancy & ADR in support of the sell strategy. Continually update Central Reservations/call center on rates and availability, maintain availability calendar and communicate all relevant information to the operations staff. Ensure alignment between Envision and PMS data to optimize revenue opportunities.

Demonstrates technical knowledge to open, close and place restrictions in various booking engines and with OTA partners, as applicable. Attend Revenue Strategy meetings and give input on trends and opportunities to maximize revenue. Ensures the development and implementation of reservation sales strategies that generates revenue and profitability. Attend Pre Convention meetings when needed and other ad hoc meetings as requestedManage rooms inventory on daily basis and communicate any upsell opportunities to FOH teams. Work closely with Residences manager to manage reservation requests for residence owners and ensure prompt communication at all times.

Work closely with rooms controller and front of house management in order to ensure efficient blocking of rooms. Support the development of sales packages that meet guest needs and hotel profitability. Coordinates with hotel management to improve sales metrics. Handle all special reservations, to include V. I. P. reservations, packages and discounts. Ensure all traces are accurately updates and communicate with corresponding departments. Maintain accurate files and reports including effective management of department expenses, including payroll. Provides coaching, counseling and development of Reservations team in addition to managing schedules.

Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadershipEducation & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience managing hotel reservations department in leadership capacity. Strong understanding of Forbes/ AAA brand standards is preferred. Hospitality Management degree is preferred. Proficiency in managing hotel rate codes, booking engines, OTA and building packages is mandatory. In depth understanding of Opera and reservations platforms is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.

Experience in hiring and coaching team members. Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. UDS$65,000- USD$80,000This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
