Informatica IDMC Platform Administrator

Note: Only Egyptian citizens will be considered for this role.Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with Informatica IDMC Platform Administration expertise to join our data platform team. This role combines strong hands-on data engineering skills with the ability to administer, configure, and optimize the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC / IICS) environment. You will design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Informatica Cloud platform. The role involves close collaboration with data architects, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality data solutions supporting analytics, integration, and governance initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Data Engineering: Design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines using Informatica IDMC (IICS) and other ETL tools. Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from varied data sources (on-premises and cloud: Azure, AWS, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.). Optimize and monitor data flows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement data quality, cleansing, and validation routines. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and BI developers to enable efficient data consumption. Document ETL logic, data mappings, and transformation rules. Platform Administration: Administer and manage the Informatica IDMC platform, including Secure Agents, runtime environments, and user access. Manage system upgrades, patching, and configuration. Oversee environment management (Dev, Test, Prod), asset migration, and deployment processes. Ensure platform connectivity with various cloud and on-prem systems through secure channels (VPN, proxies, etc.). Monitor performance and troubleshoot runtime or connectivity issues. Implement governance standards, backup, and recovery procedures. Collaborate with Informatica Support for platform-related issues or incidents. Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer. 2+ years of experience administering Informatica IDMC (IICS) or similar Informatica Cloud platforms. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts. Hands-on experience with data integration, transformation, and migration. Experience connecting Informatica to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Familiarity with Secure Agent setup, user and role management, and API integration. Working knowledge of Git / CI-CD pipelines for data deployment automation. Strong understanding of data security and governance principles. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Informatica Certified Professional (IICS / IDMC Administrator or Data Integration Specialist). Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certification. Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or Synapse Analytics. Experience with Python, PowerShell, or REST APIs for automation and orchestration. Exposure to Data Quality (IDQ), Data Governance, or MDM modules. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or in global teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
