Job DescriptionEurope’s energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. The aim is to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The Netherlands and Germany have set ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy, aiming to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts by 2030, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the North Sea will play a crucial role in this transition. TenneT guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach to increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.About The Unit Large Projects Offshore NL (LON)Based on the Energy agreement, which sets the targets and intentions for the transition to a more renewable energy supply, the Roadmap Offshore wind energy 2030 and the ambition to realise additional wind capacity prior to 2030, a roll-out strategy is being prepared for the medium term, including the IJmuiden Ver (DC) projects. This results in a commitment for TenneT to realise at least 2x (with potential up to 5) 2GW HVDC Grid Connection Systems which bring the power from offshore wind-farms in the North sea to the Dutch electricity grid to be commissioned between 2028 – 2030.TasksSupports package lead (SPL) and QC coordinator with review all quality deliverables (as-built documents, punch lists, etc.) from the vendors against the Employer’s Requirements (subcontractors from the EPCI contractor).Support the discipline: electrical/instrumentation and control/automation teams with specific quality related issues or documents.Monitors the execution of Inspection and Test Plans specified in the Inspection Notification from the EPCI Contractor for the vendor manufacturing phase.Witness inspection activities (electrical inspections, hardware and software tests, FATs) from client side for these vendor packages based on risk based inspection schedule.Frequent travelling to the vendor’s construction locations.Facilitates remote inspections by video connection (like Hololens) to TenneT office.Report and monitor all quality related problems for each package (NCR, open points).Monitor the implementation of Employer’s Requirements with regards to electrical/ instrumentation and control/automation equipment of vendor packages.Align with the TenneT QC coordinator about the inspections, ITPs and quality issues.Act in the role of Client (End-user, Employer) when witnessing tests and inspections. De eisenExtensive experience with offshore projects in the Oil & Gas, Renewables or Shipping industry;Experience in reviewing and drafting QC plans and ITP’s;Minimum of 10 years of experience in QC inspection role;Knowledge of International Codes and Standards (i.e. BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA) relating to electrical and instrumentation work;Experience with variety of electrical, instrumentation and control/automation equipment inspections (a.o. switchgear, breakers, bushings, electric drives, automation systems);You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing;Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory.5cd8a0b9cc68f9ffa4c9253553278a55wer
