Job Description

The Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. The Background Check Specialist (BCS) is responsible for helping with the background check investigation process. Coordinating and documenting required background check requests and results. Conducts quality assurance reviews to ensure background checks are submitted completely and accurately prior to submission and within the required timeframes and deadlines.Position DetailsFull TimeDepartment - Inspire GeorgiaReports to Inspire GA Program DirectorLocated in Atlanta, GAIn-Person (On site)Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pmAnnual Compensation - $35,000ResponsibilitiesPerforms administrative and coordination HR duties, such as accurately maintaining the employee database and providing support to Inspire Georgia.Provides exceptional customer service and correspondence by sorting HR emails for Inspire Georgia in accordance with established HR standards.Delivers seamless communication for the timely resolution of employee queries.Monitors emerging new hire needs and develop proactive and innovative solutions.Communicates with potential job candidates, contacts candidate references, and verifies candidate experience, education listing, and any other Inspire Georgia, ORR, or Inspiritus HR employment requirements.Obtains, organizes, stewards, and holds confident all employee records and data for the accurate analysis and interpretation of human resources information.Manages the security of all HR records including résumés, applicant logs, and employee forms.Performs data analysis and creates PowerPoint presentations, as needed for both internal and external stakeholders.Prepares reporting, and analysis as required, for annual talent review, salary evaluations, and promotions.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust have a high school diploma or equivalent degree, and minimum of 3 years employment experience.Bilingual in Spanish and English.Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases.Must have the ability to communicate in a culturally competent manner.Must be sensitive to the served population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Ability to work within a team and to work independently.Ability to take the initiative.Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license and have personal auto insurance and a good driving record.The Background Check Specialist - Inspire GA role detailed in this description is not a comprehensive list of all duties that may be requested for the successful completion of this role and may garner some circumstantial duties deemed critical to meeting performance goals.Physical DemandsRegularly required to talk and hear.
