Build your instrumentation and controls engineering and consulting career within Beca’s Water, Industrial and Power business with over 40 years of experience, united by a commitment to making everyday better for our clients.You’ll join a specialist EI&C team and collaborate with more than 250 engineers and industry experts. You’ll work with clients, contractors and vendors to deliver a diverse range of projects across Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia and the wider Asia‑Pacific region, gaining exposure to industries including water, minerals and metals, food and life sciences, wood and fiber, energy and manufacturing.What You’ll DoBe part of a new and growing Jakarta‑based team supporting Beca’s New Zealand and Australian businesses on cross‑regional projects, while also delivering projects in IndonesiaDelivering instrumentation and control systems work packages, specifying and integrating equipment for manufacturing, utilities, refrigeration, energy, water and wastewater projectsPerform instrumentation selection, control system architecture, I/O lists, cause and effect, and control narratives.Assist with reviews, design assurance, SiD, and compliance against applicable codes and standards.Participate in site visits, surveys and commissioning support as required.Partner closely with Beca’s New Zealand and Australian offices, fostering enduring relationships and coordinated delivery across major industry sectors.Working with experienced engineers in developing energy recovery and carbon zero projectsWorking with site-based engineering teams delivering capital projectsDevelop and deliver EI&C designs and documentation (drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules) across industrial projects.Prepare inputs for tenders/proposals and help drive delivery to programme and budget.What You’ll Bring3–5 years’ experience as an Instrumentation & Controls engineer in consulting, EPC or asset owner environments.Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Mechatronics Engineer.Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.Familiarity with IEC and AS/NZS standards and practices; exposure to Australian/NZ project delivery is beneficial although not essential.Experience with PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, hazardous areas, and functional safety principles.Competence with common EIC design and documentation tools; strong attention to detail and design quality.A collaborative mindset, ability to work across geographies, and a focus on safety, quality and client outcomes.
