This junior-level, full-time position is ideal for professionals with a minimum of 1 year of experience, seeking to support operational excellence within the oil and gas sector.Qualifications And SkillsTroubleshooting (Mandatory skill): must possess the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve issues in instrumentation and control systems to minimize downtime.Instrumentation Testing (Mandatory skill): adeptness in performing comprehensive testing and validation of various field instruments is essential for this role.Process Control (Mandatory skill): demonstrated hands-on expertise in maintaining and optimizing process control loops in complex industrial environments.Preventive Maintenance: proven experience in planning and conducting regular maintenance activities to ensure longevity and reliability of instruments.PLC Programming: practical skills in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers for automation applications.Calibration: ability to perform precise calibration of sensors, transmitters, and industrial instruments according to standard practices and protocols.SCADA Systems: familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems for monitoring and managing plant operations remotely and efficiently.Safety Procedures: strong commitment to and knowledge of safety guidelines and regulatory compliance, ensuring all tasks are carried out with utmost safety in mind.Roles And ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks involving industrial instrumentation and control equipment.Conduct scheduled and predictive maintenance on instrumentation assets to reduce unexpected equipment failures.Implement and monitor process control strategies, ensuring plant processes operate smoothly and efficiently.Test, calibrate, and validate various measurement and control instruments as per standard operating procedures.Assist in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting PLC equipment and SCADA systems for process automation.Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and policies, fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.Support the continuous improvement of maintenance workflows and suggest upgrades or modifications to existing systems.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment calibration, and system performance for audit readiness.
