You’ll work alongside a diverse group of professionals who are as passionate about their work as you are.We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician for a two-year contract, with an immediate start date.JOB SUMMARYThe Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems within a DCS-based environment. The role requires a technically skilled and independent professional with hands-on experience in process instrumentation, excellent communication abilities, and flexibility to work in shifts, including night operations and plant emergencies.JOB DESCRIPTIONInstall, calibrate, and test various instruments related to pressure, temperature, and flow, including control valves, positioners, and impulse tubing.Perform troubleshooting and repairs of various control loops and systems—both online and offline—independently.Read, interpret, and work with P&ID drawings and E&I loop diagrams.Coordinate with clients’ E&I departments and other plant operations teams to ensure quick resolution of breakdowns and maintain system reliability.Work independently, especially during night shifts, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while carrying out instrumentation tasks.Provide timely reporting and documentation of maintenance and calibration activities.Remain flexible to support plant operations during emergencies, with extended working hours if required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONITI or Diploma in Instrumentation & Electronics from a recognized institution.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum 5–8 years of on-site experience working on DCS-based control systems (mandatory).Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to coordinate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.Willingness to work in day and night shifts and extend working hours during plant emergencies as per site requirements.Overtime and additional hours will be compensated as per HPG HR/UAE Ministry of Labour policy.JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLSProficiency in installation, calibration, and testing of process instruments.Strong knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow instruments, control valves, and positioners.Ability to troubleshoot and repair control loops and systems independently.Competency in reading and understanding P&ID and E&I loop drawings.Familiarity with safety and operational procedures in industrial environments.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Experience in Oil & Gas Field.ADDITIONAL DETAILSLocation: Gas Plant, Jebel Ali, DubaiContract duration: 2 yearsStart date: immediately***We believe that a diverse workforce is essential to our success.
