This is a fantastic opportunity for attorneys, claims assessors and claims administrators with insurance expertise, to lead and contribute to an exciting, high-impact new client account based out of ASIAPAC.LOCATION: Observatory, Cape TownTITLES: Insurance Specialist Attorneys, Claims Assessors, Claims administratorsLEVEL: AssociateJOB TYPE: Full Time (Hybrid)WORKING HOURS: 8pm to 5pmWhat We’re Looking For:Qualified attorneys (LLB required) or experienced claims assessors and administrators with experience in insurance law or a strong background in the insurance sectorStrong analytical and comprehension skillsMeticulous attention to detail and ability to follow structured review protocolsAbility to interpret legal and business documentation with precisionStrong administrative skillsGood commercial acumenKey Responsibilities and desires skills:Manage and review insurance claims and related documentationCollate related documents and produce response materials for AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) dispute casesApply external dispute resolution guidelines to evaluate and formulate case responsesTechnical dispute resolution skills in general insuranceRecommend appropriate resolution strategies, including:Clarifying policy termsStrengthening legal positionsDraft formal written responses articulating the client’s position clearly and professionallySupport post-submission activities, including addressing AFCA follow-up questions and preparing notices of responseHandle administrative tasks such as document collation and uploadEnsure accurate and timely updates in line with complaint resolution workflowsHighly Beneficial Experience:Prior engagement with insurance ombudsmenExperience in dispute resolution or insurance complaints handlingAbout Morae:Morae is a dynamic, high-growth organization that provides an integrated suite of solutions to corporate law departments and law firms, and partners with leading software and services providers, both within and outside the legal industry.
