Join a respected defense and engineering organization in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organized Intermediate Administrative Assistant. Benefits & PerksCompensation: $25 to $27/hour6-month contract with strong potential for extension.Hybrid schedule: 3 days on-site in Dartmouth, 2 days work-from-home.Candidates must have lived in Canada for at least 10 years to meet security clearance requirements. ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day administrative support to the program team and senior managementTrack and organize materials, supplies, and procurement requestsCoordinate staff travel arrangements and assist with travel expense claimsSupport Health & Safety activities, including participating in site audits and helping track follow-up actionsManage requestsHandle document transfer requests between classified and unclassified systems (no technical experience required—training provided)Coordinate visitor access, including preparing facility visit notices and Requests for Visit (RFV)Monitor and restock office supplies to keep the office running smoothlyAssist the Task Management Team with closing tasks and updating recordsHelp onboard new employeesSupport the team with general administrative tasks to keep daily operations organized and efficientQualifications:Must have over 4 years of administrative support experience in fast paced environment.Strong MS office experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Eligibility to obtain NATO Secret Clearance (must have lived in Canada for 10+ years)Eligibility for Controlled Goods CertificationAt Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
