Internal Sales & International LogisticsBrisbane | Full-Time | On-SiteHard Metal Industries (HMI) is a leading supplier of specialised tooling and consumables servicing the drilling, tunnelling, infrastructure and mining sectors across Australia and New Zealand. We are currently seeking an Internal Sales & International Logistics professional to join our Brisbane team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys delivering excellent customer service.About the RoleIn this role, you will support our external sales teams, manage customer enquiries, coordinate shipments, and ensure the smooth flow of sales orders and logistics for both Australia and New Zealand.You will be a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, freight partners and internal stakeholders — maintaining strong communication and customer service at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Internal SalesAnswer and direct phone enquiries and assist walk-in customersMaintain professional, friendly and prompt service standardsSales & AdministrationProcess sales orders, invoices and purchase orders (AU & NZ)Maintain supplier price lists and support the sales teams with quotingPrepare weekly and monthly sales reportingInternational & Domestic Freight CoordinationObtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments (import & export)Track deliveries, liaise with freight partners, resolve delivery issuesInventory & Operations SupportAssist with stocktake coordination and investigation of inventory variancesMaintain registers (SDS, Plant & Equipment service schedule, WHS checks)General administrative support to the General Manager and Sales TeamsWhat You’ll BringEssentialStrong customer service approach with professional communication skillsProficient computer skills (Excel intermediate or above)Ability to work to deadlines with strong attention to detailPositive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learnDesirableExperience with MYOB EXO (or similar ERP)Previous experience in internal sales, logistics or freight coordinationExperience supporting a sales team in a fast-paced environmentSalary & BenefitsThis is a permanent full-time position.Hours: Mon–Thurs 8:00am–4:30pm, Fri 8:00am–2:00pmHourly rate: $42.00 + super, with full standard leave entitlements.Why Join HMI?Stable, long-term employment with a respected industry leaderSupportive team environment where training and development are encouragedExposure to major infrastructure, mining and tunnelling projectsOpportunity to expand skills across multiple business areasHow to ApplyIf this sounds like the right fit for you, please send your CV and a brief cover letter to: 📧 info@hmi.com.auWe look forward to hearing from you.
