Job Title: 2x Internal Sales - Trader Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng Direct Reports to: Internal Sales Manager & Second Report Structure: General ManagerClosing Date for Job application – 28Th of November 2025 @ 12:00Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and professional Internal Sales Trader to provide efficient and accurate sales support in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in maintaining sales performance, ensuring service excellence and supporting customers in the fastener, engineering and manufacturing sectors.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service & Sales SupportRespond promptly and professionally to high volumes of customer calls and emails.Provide accurate quotations, lead times and technical product information across our range of fasteners (bolts, nuts, washers, anchors, specials, stainless steel, etc.).Assist customers with selecting suitable products based on application, grade, material, coating and standards.Follow-up on quotations to convert them into sales orders.Build and maintain strong customer relationships through reliable service.Order Processing & CoordinationCapture customer orders accurately and efficiently.Confirm pricing, stock availability and urgent delivery requirements.Coordinate with Warehouse and Procurement teams for urgent picking, packing and dispatch.Prioritize time-sensitive orders and communicate timelines clearly to customers.Provide updates on order progress, delays, shortages or backorders.Administrative DutiesMaintain updated price lists and customer records.Prepare weekly backorder summaries and follow-up schedules.Assist with stock takes, cycle counts and ERP updates.Collaborate with External Sales Reps and General Manager to achieve sales targets.Product Knowledge & Technical UnderstandingDevelop strong knowledge of fasteners, grades, coatings and specifications (e.g., 8.8 / 10.9 / B7 / SS304 / SS316, galvanised, ISO/DIN/ASTM standards).Recommend alternative solutions when stock is unavailable.Understand product applications in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mining and Construction sectors.Required Skills & CompetenciesExcellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure with fast turnaround expectations.High accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent orders.Computer literacy (ERP systems – Syspro & Q-Docs, MS Office & Outlook 365).Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Qualifications & ExperienceMatric (Grade 12) required.Minimum 2–3 years Internal Sales experience in Fasteners, Engineering, or Industrial Supply.Experience with technical quotations, ERP systems, and high-volume order processing.Applicants with 8+ years of work experience will be preferred.Personal AttributesProfessional, calm and composed under pressure.Strong phone etiquette and reliability.Positive, energetic and customer-focused.Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Proactive, solution-driven and target-oriented.Working Hours:Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00Friday: 07:30 – 14:00Remuneration:Basic salary + commission (details discussed during the interview).How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their CV to HR@verbolt.co.za with the subject line Internal Sales Application.
