Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong work ethic to be part of our team as the International Business Development Staff to participate in Lockheed Martin corporate engagement, business development, strategy and coordination of relationships with stakeholders in South East Asia (including the governmental agencies, GBDS Country Leads in SEA, Lockheed Martin Business Areas and industry partners). This role is based in Singapore and reporting to our International Business Development Director (IBDD), SEA – Global Business Development & Strategy (GBDS).Our International Business Development Staff will be responsible for the development and maintenance of market segment strategy and will contribute to Lockheed Martin’s (LM) orders growth through identification, shaping and qualification of business development opportunities. This will require regular coordination with the international BD leads for each line of business under the direction of our regional GBDS Leader.Other responsibilities will also include (but not limited to):Maintain enduring and communication with key partners in-region and engage with leadership and key decision makers in SEA.Coordinate business development with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies and develop materials in support of the organisation’s business development activities such as country briefings, talking points, legislative/political summaries, etc.Plan and coordinate events and activities to support the corporation’s business development goals in SEA including planning and executing of BD activities, not excluding events, high-level visits, airshows etc.Monitor governmental policy activities and initiatives and advise leadership and staff on relevant policy proposals, actions and potential impact on business and provide political, military and economic situation reports to the GBDS IBDD (SEA)/VP Asia.Help organize and shape Lockheed Martin campaign strategies in SEA region in coordination with country leads and serve as the secondary POC and interface with the armed forces acquisition programs.Provide support to LM Business Area capture efforts as directed.About you:Our ideal candidate will possess business or technical experience in related industry as well as equipped with good knowledge of overall acquisition process. Our candidate will have demonstrated:Experience handling executive review for a complex business development process and ability to gather and communicate market intelligence in order to anticipate emerging trends within the industry and the governments in SEA.Familiarity with US foreign military sales processes and exigencies of the US-SEA alliances.Excellent business level written and spoken English. Proficiency in another local language within SEA will be advantageous.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across functions, business areas and regions. Confident with ability to present to senior stakeholders.Working experience in aerospace and defence industry is highly advantageous.Special requirement:Chosen candidate must have existing rights to work and live in Singapore at the time of application.Click ‘apply’ to complete our online application form.
