Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory. Maintain records of all variances according to establish procedures and ensure accuracy of all product movements as receiving, tranfer, supply or movement in the WH. Administer all return shipments of customers in case of any shortages and damages and communicate same to managements to update the WMS in line with SOP. Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to same if required. Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain supporting records for all transactions. Conduct analysis of inventory discrepancies and collaborate with team to mitigate recurrence of issuesPrepare and drive quarterly physical inventory counts ensuring that counting process are followed to ensure a correct result from the count. To audit process along with paper flow errors and try to spot the inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventoriesThey track the variances in the inventory, so as to facilitate better planning as well as interpret variances and correct the problems that have come up. Analyse the customer order for consistency and in compliance to CMR levels, minimum pack sizes, etc. and highlight any issues to management. Upload the final food orders to the WMS system for further processing. Review the delivery overview from transport daily and update the DPL if required and send to management for submission to client. Review of EGRR vs GRR and check for accuracy and question and inconsistency. Once satisfied with the receiving submitted to PD/QD. Ensure before starting the picking cycle that all items are going to be within the warranty requirements. Any item not meeting the warranty are to be highlighted to management and to confirm if client approval is available to supply. If not than place the items below warranty on hold and advise management. Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes according to SOP and update processes if required. Implement the company performance management process by setting KPI’s for direct reports, conducting regular reviews, identifying training requirements and providing learning opportunities on the job through on-the-job training and/or coaching/ mentoring. Assist the Inventory Manager on his tasks and fill in for the Inventory Manager in his absence. Report health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near miss/incident observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. To follow, apply and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements. REGULAR INTERNAL CONTACTS:Regular communication and interaction with teammates in the department and other teamsREGULAR EXTERNAL CONTACTS:Regular contact with client representatives (ration administrators)MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related fieldYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH MINIMUM EDUCATION REQ'T:10 years of relevant work experience, 3 years of which in a supervisory roleSYSTEMS/ EQUIPMENT OPERATION KNOWLEDGE:Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge. Intermediate skills in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED:Knowledge in inventory management with a large number of line items (hundred+ line items). Very good knowledge stock control management, quality assurance, and warehouse management.
