Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive and store food rations according to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) standards. Load and unload by forklift, pallet jack or hand truckPick client orders using technology and equipment provided, process requests and supply orders, pull materials, pack boxes and place completed orders in designated areasMaintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requestsMaintain safe and clean work environment by applying the clean as you go policy. This includes but is not limited to keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of the CompanyReport health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near miss/incident observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. To follow, apply and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements. Handle proper assembly of products on pallets and ensure picked quantities match the delivery notes with R&I (Receipt and Inspection)Report health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near miss/incident observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. REGULAR INTERNAL CONTACTS:Regular communication and interaction with teammates in the departmentIDEAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:High School Certificate or equivalent, Vocational certificateYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH IDEAL EDUCATION REQ'T:2 years 'work experience in a similar roleMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:High School Certificate or equivalentYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH MINIMUM EDUCATION REQ'T:3 years' relevant work experienceSYSTEMS/ EQUIPMENT OPERATION KNOWLEDGE:Forklift operator's certificate/ license preferredTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED:Basic safety training (especially for working outdoors or near heavy machinery)Proper lifting techniques and ergonomic awarenessPPE usage and basic hazard awarenessOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Physiologically fit to work in food handling operations & remote site locationsCan lift without aid 25 kgsExperience in NGO/ food rations project an advantageBasic English language - read/write/speakAdvantage if knows language of operational location/ countryCOMPETENCIES:Collaborative workingTime ManagementCommunicationPlanning & OrganizingAttention to detail
