Investment Director (Equity Research | Global Coverage)Our client has diversified interests across a multiple sectors. The Group is seeking an experienced Public Markets & Investment Research professional to join its investments team. This newly created role will focus on idea generation, market analysis, and investment evaluation across listed and private opportunities in Asia and beyond.Key Responsibilities:Conduct bottom-up equity research across selected sectors to generate actionable investment ideas, including both listed and unlisted opportunities.Develop detailed financial models, valuations, and investment cases, incorporating fundamental analysis, peer benchmarking, and macroeconomic insights.Monitor market trends, sector developments, and corporate actions to identify thematic and special-situation opportunities.Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior leadership, articulating key catalysts, risks, and valuation frameworks.Collaborate with the Group M&A and Investments team to assess strategic acquisitions, divestments, or partnerships linked to public comparables.Maintain oversight of existing portfolio holdings, providing ongoing performance tracking and exit recommendations.Support portfolio optimisation, capital allocation discussions, and benchmarking of private holdings against public market peers.Key Requirements:10-15 years’ experience in equity research, public markets investing, or buy-side analysis, ideally covering Asia or global markets.Proven ability to originate and articulate investment ideas supported by deep sector and company-level analysis.Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, and investment thesis development.Exposure to M&A or corporate finance advantageous, particularly in assessing private-to-public valuation bridges.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior leadership and investment committees.Entrepreneurial and intellectually curious, with a genuine interest in both public markets and strategic investments.Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; CFA or CA qualification preferred.
