Aquila Clean Energy EMEA is a developer of integrated & hybrid clean energy solutions and an independent power producer. We deliver affordable clean energy to European consumers through innovative, technology enabled solutions. Since 2006, we've developed and operated renewable energy projects, bringing over 2.5 GW to commercial operation. We manage an advanced development and construction pipeline consisting of over 13 GW in solar PV, onshore wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across 13 European countries.For our office in Hamburg, we are looking to add an off-cycle Investment Intern, who will work closely with a skilled team of Clean Energy investment professionals. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work on high profile transactions throughout Europe and to interact with and support the development platform.This is a ~6 month programme.What will you do day-to-day?Conduct comprehensive market research and industry analysis to support investment decisions. Develop and maintain financial models independently, with guidance from senior team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as development, operations, and finance on value-creation initiatives. Assist with the preparation of presentations, memos, marketing materials, and other analyses to support new and existing investments. Assist team members during transactions across the full investment cycle – acquisitions, divestments, due diligence, and internal approval processes. Assist team members during origination by setting up models and preparing non-binding offers (NBOs). What are we looking for?Currently working towards, or recently completed a master’s in business, finance, or investment related area. Prior exposure in investment banking, infrastructure/private equity, consulting, asset management or corporate finance would be a plus. A growing understanding of applied investment and valuation analysis, financial modelling. Expert with MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word). Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail. Entrepreneurial spirit. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently as well as within a team setting. Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of another foreign language, such as German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Lithuanian or Estonian, would be an advantage.
