Our Global CIO is leading a significant evolution of our Enterprise Technology capabilities, bringing together over 2,500 technology professionals into an integrated global team. This Team will play a crucial role in enabling the ongoing transformation of our agencies and functions.What you'll be doing:Team LeadershipLiaise closely with the WPP business leadership and executive teams to provide technology guidance and build a secure and robust technology strategy that aligns to business strategy and outcomesTo establish strong relationships with all the IT functions within the Enterprise Technology operating model to ensure the needs of WPP businesses are metDevelop excellent relationships with key internal stakeholders plus external partners and vendors.Create and maintain needed reports and be the interface to other teamsService OversightTo understand and oversee the local technology landscape i.e. key applications, assets, infrastructure, security and services – know where there are problems / obstacles and work with the wider Enterprise Technology teams to prioritise necessary developmentsManage all third parties and partners to ensure delivery of services meet the contracted requirement and where that falls short of the business need, agree a plan to bridge the gapOwn escalation management with internal IT teams and all other third-party suppliers to ensure operational services meet business requirementsServe as an escalation point on behalf of the business in case of service quality issuesConduct service reviews with the business to report on service performance and ensure risks and issues arising from IT service are well managedCommunicate new services / changes in existing services to the businessReview the IT costs and develop proposals for optimising local IT spend and manage IT assetsManage demand & priorities for new local services and changes to operational services.Provide local input into global business initiatives and escalate major requirements to the relevant teamsDrive local delivery of IT transformation projects (e.g. End User Services, Network, Infrastructure, Security, Office Moves, Restacks where applicable)Work with the business to fully leverage, exploit and drive adoption of technology and service capabilities usedEducate the business on how to use the available technology services and maximise benefitsEducate the business about IT policies, procedures, security, and complianceLead a customer-centred culture, championing activities to empower business users to get maximum utilisation of IT, including organising training programmes and appoint super-users in relevant technology spacesTo navigate resources from Enterprise Technology to respond to client contracts / audit requirementsIT and AV point of contact for large client facing or internal events to deliver expected level of polishPerformance ManagementResponsible for evaluating the performance of their team members. This includes setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and conducting annual appraisals. They must ensure that employees meet the required service levels and KPIs.Responsible for escalations if issues require managerial decision-making or resource allocationPeople ManagementManage the ET Support Team and train ET Support specialists where necessaryFoster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvementDistribution of workloads fairly and effectively amongst team members based on skill set, capacity and ongoing projectsOversee professional development of team membersEnsure that team members adhere to all relevant IT policies, procedures, and standards, including data protection, health and safety, and equality and diversity policiesWhat you'll need:A demonstrable track record of leading individuals and teams through complex changeStrong technical backgroundExperience, gravitas, and professionalism to engage and influence at the Executive levelStrong customer-facing skills, in the ability to gain respect and confidence of senior stakeholders within the businessGood communication and influencing skills along with personal gravitas to create relationships at senior levelsExperience in IT strategy development and IT governanceKnowledge of top-level IT architecture principlesGood knowledge of all aspects of IT Service DeliveryExcellent self-organisationDirect experience of managing budgetsStrong project management skillsCompleter / finisher mentality - has a strong track record of delivery, has attention to detail, is organised and demonstrates excellent time management skillsGood commercial insight with a comprehensive appreciation of how technology can enable positive business changeUnderstanding of the creative mindset and user experience, exposure to media businessesWho you are:You're open: We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views.
