Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Perform business and system analysis to assess the feasibility of new features or enhancements within existing factory automation applications.Design and document system architecture, workflows, and integration diagrams for new or modified functionalities.Collaborate with development teams to define requirements, validate designs, create test cases, and perform functional and integration testing.Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and ensure approvals are obtained before production deployment.Oversee software deployment, check-out, and pilot testing phases in alignment with SDLC best practices.Provide Tier 2 application support for escalated incidents, system malfunctions, or service requests impacting manufacturing operations.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical system issues and implement corrective or preventive measures.Support containment activities to assess and mitigate quality risks following major automation service interruptions.Prepare and maintain documentation for Tier 1 support teams and contribute to the knowledge base for ongoing improvement.Partner with users and business teams to ensure alignment between IT solutions and manufacturing requirements.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.2–5 years of experience in IT application support, automation, or manufacturing system environments.Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Bash, .NET, Java, or Python.Familiarity with SDLC processes, test case design, and change management workflows.Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), or messaging services (TIBCO EMS/BW) is an added advantage.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision.
