Join our team as an IT Risk and Compliance Specialist and play a critical role in managing and enhancing IT controls and compliance processes. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge platforms like ServiceNow and contribute to robust IT governance practices.Key Responsibilities:Validate IT control ownership and descriptions through comprehensive documentation.Transfer controls and ownership details into ServiceNow and manage certifications.Draft and distribute guidance communications to control owners; respond to inquiries via Teams, email, or phone.Monitor compliance responses and ensure timely completion.Collect, evaluate, and manage control evidence; provide feedback as needed.Maintain secure retention and indexing of artifacts in SharePoint.Attend process and control walkthrough meetings, prepopulating the SoQC controls questionnaire to aid in comprehensive control reviews.Must-Have Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Experience: Minimum 3 years in IT governance, risk management, or compliance.Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of IT security principles and controls.Familiarity with acceptable security control evidence and related technologies.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Tools:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Core Competencies:Communication: Clear and effective interaction across all levels.Customer Service: Commitment to quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.Collaboration: Build strong partnerships and work effectively in teams.Risk Management & Project Management: Apply best practices to mitigate risks and deliver successful projects.Special Conditions:JESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office.
