Job Description

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Restaurant General Manager, located in Nassau, The Bahamas. The restaurant is a vibrant and fast-paced restaurant known for exceptional service and a fun, high-energy, and welcoming atmosphere. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant. This includes overseeing daily operations, upholding the highest standards of food, service, and cleanliness, managing financial performance, and building a motivated, high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to operational excellence and team development. Key Responsibilities Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable performance. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming guest experience. Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence. Manage budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting to maximize profitability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations.

Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely food preparation and quality standards. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and resolution-focused thinking. Develop and implement operational strategies and promotions to drive sales and customer loyalty. Maintain vendor relationships and oversee ordering, inventory control, and quality assurance. Schedule staff effectively based on business needs and forecasted volume. QualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of experience in a restaurant management role (General Manager or Assistant GM preferred). Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financials, and guest service standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling tools, and general business software. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
