The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core Java development, with expertise in Spring/Spring Boot. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our financial platforms and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.Key Features And AccountabilitiesDesign and DevelopmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services.DevelopmentDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Optimize server-side performance and ensure data integrity and security.System IntegrationWork on integrating various financial systems and third-party services, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability.Code Quality and Best PracticesWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).Troubleshooting and SupportDiagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack, providing support for both development and production environments.CollaborationCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk ManagementDemonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulationsYOUR PROFILESkills RequirementsRelevant higher educational and professional background with ideally at least 7 years of extensive experience in software development including as a backend developerProfound hands-on Java programming skillsCore Java & related utilities/libraries, particularly collections, JSON, JDBC, MavenSpring Framework including Spring Boot, JDBC templates and JPA, Messaging and JMSExcellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsBasic understanding of Unix Operating system and bash scriptingVery good command of English language both written and communication skillsGood code review skills, and pride in code qualityTeam playerAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsAbility to work in an agile environmentWilling to work in a global team that has members in Singapore and SwitzerlandRelevant work experience in the financial industry preferableWe are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
