We are looking for a skilled Jr. Cable Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing structured cabling systems for various clients. Key Responsibilities: Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling. Label and document all cables and infrastructure components. Mount and install racks, patch panels, cable trays, and other hardware. Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of cabling issues. Ensure all work complies with industry standards (e. g. , TIA/EIA) and local codes.
Work in ceilings, walls, and crawl spaces as needed to complete installations. Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installation. Knowledge of cable color codes, industry standards, and best practices. Experience with tools such as punch-down tools, cable testers, and fiber optic splicing equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces. Valid driver’s license , passport and reliable transportation (if travel is required).
Work Environment: On-site work at client locations, including construction sites and finished buildings. May require travel depending on project location.
