Job Description

We are looking for a competent and proactive Jr. HSE Officer to ensure Health, Safety & Environmental compliance across all project sites. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE labor law, local regulatory requirements (including municipality and ADNOC standards where applicable), and international HSE practices.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) addressing activity-specific hazards, control measures, PPE requirements, site rules, emergency procedures, welfare facilities, and assembly point locations.Ensure all workers undergo HSE induction and receive mandatory training before entering the site.Conduct regular site inspections, prepare safety observation reports, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.Review work procedures, method statements, and risk assessments before job commencement.Coordinate with Client HSE representatives, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards.Monitor and guide site supervisors to ensure consistent HSE practices on site.Provide technical HSE support to project and construction teams.Execute safety campaigns, awareness programs, and drills to build a safety culture on site.Monitor welfare facilities to ensure they meet required standards (rest areas, drinking water, toilets, etc.).Advise on unsafe acts/conditions, recommend and monitor corrective actions.Ensure emergency preparedness by inspecting rescue equipment, fire extinguishers, escape routes, and signage.Conduct emergency mock drills in line with project/employer requirements.Supervise the management of hazardous waste, chemical handling, and disposal as per UAE regulations.Ensure adherence to Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and monitor the PTW system for compliance.Record and report all incidents, near misses, injuries, and participate in investigations.Assist in identifying hazards, evaluating risk, and implementing control measures to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications & RequirementsDiploma/Degree in Engineering or Health & Safety or related field.NEBOSH IGC (mandatory).UAE work experience in the construction or contracting sector (minimum 3 years).Familiar with UAE HSE regulations, local municipality safety codes, and construction safety norms.Salary: AED 2,500 – 3,500 (based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications).
