EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent DEPARTMENT: Private ClientDIVISION: Private Client ServicesWORKPLACE STRUCTURE: HybridRole Overview PURPOSE OF JOB To make a significant contribution to the running of the division ensuring consistent delivery to the Group’s existing and potentially new clients of the highest quality of professional service and thus protect and enhance the Group’s reputation. Ensure all employees are well managed, developed and motivated to continuously thrive within their role. Play a supporting role in meeting the division’s strategic and operational objectives set by the Group Board.

Main Responsibilities And Duties Responsible for the successful management of an extensive and varied portfolio of clients, ensuring a professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries. Ensure budgetary and performance targets are achieved. Through effective analysis of the division and its resulting performance, ensure knowledge gained is factored into the planning and formulating of team strategy and the division’s annual business plan, resources and procedures. Assist with the planning, drafting and implementing of strategy and activities consistent with overall strategic aims, KPI’s as defined for Financial, Management and Risk or as required by the Group.

Attendance at divisional board meetings. Ensure the spirit of JTC is engendered and shared within the Group. Fulfil the function of “Manager” and/or “Client Director” on appropriate client entities. Attend and lead client meetings, either on or off site. Liaise with professional advisors to ensure the Group delivers both a proficient and added value service; this may from time to time require travel. Develop and enhance long term relationships with clients, their advisers, intermediaries and other introducers of work.

Effectively manage and accurately price new business enquiries, ensuring the resources and services provided by the Group are fully explained. Active participation at internal business development meetings; demonstrate an ability to identify potential business opportunities within the team’s portfolio of clients and where possible introduce prospective new business to the Group. Develop, enhance and retain existing client base, advisers, intermediaries and other introducers of work, providing a value-added service and a high standard of client care. Provide any other duties as defined or deemed necessary by Management and/or the Group Board.

Adhere to Risk & Compliance policies and procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation and to any Divisional policies and procedures. Be responsible for analysing, assessing and managing the risks associated with own portfolio of clients. Remain aware of the obligations for the reporting of unusual transactions and act as a guide to the division in this respect. Attend and represent the division at division board meetings. Develop an ability to lead, inspire and motivate the division and the wider Group to sustain the Group’s unique stakeholder culture.

Management of employees, ensuring their adherence to their contractual obligations and according to Group standards and policy (attendance at monthly division meetings, recruitment, appraisals, reviews, discipline, training, development, all with defined guideline/timescales). Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures. Develop self and ensure knowledge in relevant field at all times. Deputise in the absence of a Director / Group director. Proactively contribute to developing effective internal procedures. Adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviours. Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility events such as skills sharing and careers coaching initiatives.

Permits and encourage a shared focus on learning & development factors. Essential Requirements Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure. Leadership experience. Degree or equivalent qualification. Relevant experience within a similar role.
