From launching cutting-edge technologies like 5G to driving digital inclusion and sustainability, working at Smart means being part of something bigger.Join us to thrive in a dynamic environment where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your work helps build a smarter, more connected Cambodia.Job PurposeThe Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is to Install, maintain and monitor servers and virtual machines, and support daily operations to ensure that server provisioning, decommissioning and achieving security compliance meet timing expectations.Job ResponsibilitiesPrivate And Public Cloud ManagementDeploy servers based on demand from application or business teams, ensuring timely fulfillment of requestsSupport and maintain servers post-deployment, addressing requests and resolving is-sues promptlyConfigure and manage virtual machines (VMs) and cloud instances to meet application requirementsPerform regular backup and restoration tests to ensure systems are protected against data lossMonitoring And Performance OptimizationEnsuring the cloud infrastructure performs optimally and meets reliability and performance standardsMonitoring the health of the infrastructure using monitoring tools (like CheckMK, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Cacti etc.)Proactively monitor and respond to issues related to the health and performance of servers, storage, and virtualization environmentsCollaborationWorking with development teams to ensure the infrastructure supports application requirementsCollaborating with other IT teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with on-premise or public cloudWorking with cybersecurity team to support PAM (Privileged Access Management) systemWorking with cybersecurity to monitor for vulnerabilities and assist in applying security patchesParticipate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of IT processesDocumentationPerforming regular maintenance tasks to keep the cloud systems up-to-date and secureMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and proceduresCreate and update user guides and training materialsJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in IT or related field One year of hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systemsExperience of working on backup systems, monitoring systems, and virtualization is advantageUnderstand of TCP/IP principles Knowledge of Virtualization principlesGeneral understanding of backup and monitoring systems Good in English, both written and spokenCommunication skills, Customer focus Join Our Team – Apply NowThank you for your interest in joining Smart Axiata!
