Junior ReceptionistFull-time | Permanent | Perth CBD (Adelaide Terrace)Commencing January 2026Forbes Kirby is a boutique, multi-disciplinary legal practice based on Adelaide Terrace in the Perth CBD, with a strong focus on commercial litigation and a commitment to developing our people. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Junior Receptionist to join our front-of-house team and help create a warm, professional and well-organised first impression for everyone who visits or contacts the firm.This is an entry-level role suited to someone at the beginning of their career in a professional environment – for example, a recent school leaver or someone with early experience in customer service or administration who is looking to move into the legal sector.About the RoleWorking from the reception desk, you will play an important part in the smooth day-to-day running of the firm. Your responsibilities will include:Answering incoming phone calls and taking accurate messagesGreeting clients, visitors and suppliers in a professional and friendly mannerCoordinating couriers and managing incoming deliveriesPreparing refreshments for clientsManaging all incoming and outgoing mailKeeping reception and the staff kitchen neat, clean and presentable (including dishes)Running simple errands within the CBD, such as dropping documents to court or collecting dry cleaningAssisting with basic administrative tasks to support the legal practiceSupporting the planning and delivery of internal and client events (e.g., coordinating catering, setting up rooms, and general logistics)You’ll receive on-the-job training and ongoing support from an experienced and approachable team.About YouWe’re looking for someone who will be comfortable in a client-facing role and who brings:A friendly, confident manner on the phone and in personA willingness to learn, take feedback and ask questions when unsureStrong attention to detail and pride in doing things properlyA proactive, “can do” attitude and reliability with day-to-day tasksProfessional presentation and clear communication skillsAny prior experience in reception, administration, retail or hospitality will be highly regarded but is not essential.You’ll also ideally have:Accurate typing skills (around 50 wpm)Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and general computer literacyWhy Forbes KirbySupportive, collaborative team environment with an open-door culturePrime CBD location on Adelaide TerraceOpportunity to build strong foundational skills in a legal practicePermanent, full-time role with long-term growth potentialTraining and support to help you develop your careerEligibilityFull-time, office-based position commencing January 2026Applicants must have Australian citizenship or permanent residencyApplicants should be based in Perth and able to commute to the CBD on a full-time basisThis role is not suitable current for Law Students.
