Job Description

Job Responsibilities:Communication Management: Managing incoming inquiries and requests within the general Ocean Booking Mailbox, ensuring timely responses or escalation.Booking Support: Sending updated booking confirmations to customers, reflecting new shipment dates and details received directly from the Steamship Lines.Availability Checks: Supporting the Pricing department by contacting carriers to confirm service routes and ensure alignment of operational data.Carrier Coordination: Requesting simple CY/CY (Container Yard) bookings with carriers to support Export Specialists.Cross-Functional Assistance: Providing support to the quoting process when required, based on team workload and management assignments.Administrative Tasks: Performing various other support, traffic, and administrative functions as needed to ensure efficient operations.Qualifications:Prior experience or education in Logistics is preferred.Experience with data entry in a fast-paced office environment is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe PDF. The ability to quickly learn new transportation management systems is essential. Experience utilizing EDI tools is a bonus.Possesses strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines.Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate professionally with overseas agents, offices, and internal teams.
