The first two months focus on classroom-based learning at our Sta. Rosa Laguna Training Center, covering end-to-end Supply Chain fundamentals and Frontline Leadership skills. After, cadets apply what they’ve learned through On-the-Job Training - which includes a process improvement project and mentorship from site leaders at their assigned site. The program concludes with a revalida and project presentation. Completion of the program is required for regularization and role placement, and all cadets receive a certificate upon graduation.The Logistics Team Leader is responsible for executing business strategies and developing operational plans for various logistics functions which include warehouse and distribution operations, resource planning, customer service, asset management, etc. It directs daily operations and manages a team.Responsibilities:1. General Administration and Execution of Management PoliciesContributes to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Ensures brand and consumer trust by implementing all food safety, occupational safety and health, quality, and environment standards, in accordance with Coca-Cola Operating Requirements (KORE) as well as regulatory requirements set by the DOLE, DENR, DTI, FDA, LTFRB, Local Government Units and all other regulatory agencies relevant to Logistics operations.Ensures achievement of all site performance metrics in terms of safety, service level and cost and conduct of necessary routine reviews, action planning, and execution to support the over-all business objective of the company.Interprets trends, provides analyses, and reviews data relevant to operations. Provides processed logistics data to other stakeholders in the organisation to aid customer service and cost improvements.Ensures metrics, reports, and process documentation is available.Partners with Commercial and other stakeholders in programs and initiatives that will enhance customer relationship and attain smooth issues resolution.2. Warehouse OperationsConducts regular stand-up meeting with warehouse personnel to meet the requirements for delivery and handle volume efficiently.Responsible for the storage and managing inventory levels of assigned Distribution Center. Ensures that all products are available and are maintained at the safety stock level to avoid out-of-stock.Plans warehouse work operations in accordance with shipments or orders (both inbound and outbound), put away of stocks, storage of stocks, stocks rotation requirements and other activities inside the warehouse.Ensures timely replenishment of materials and full goods in the Distribution Center.Defines and maintains the layout and set up the warehouse for the appropriate storage of goods and other materialsLeads inventory control and cycle count of empties and full goods and ensures the integrity of inventory in the system and in the warehouse.Reports and aligns with stakeholders on past due inbound and outbound deliveriesEnsures facility meets Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) standards.Ensures inventory and availability of glass or empties to support Manufacturing during production runsEnsures compliance of empties to Cleanable Reusable Only Containers System (CROCS) upon arrival in the DCs from trade and/or CAS facility.3. Transport OperationsConducts pre-take off meeting with distribution personnel to discuss operational requirements and target deliveries/shipments.Ensures transport availability and uses daily operational data to provide, appropriate transport to current and predicted demands.Ensures adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements.Ensures all completed orders are dispatched on time.Recommends optimal transport modes, routes or frequency to the Transport Models team.Ensures timely arrival and processing of replenishments from Plants.Resolves problems concerning transportation and delivery issues.4. Fleet & Asset ManagementOversees day-to-day operation of the fleet together with the Fleet Team, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and regulatory requirements (vehicle checks, fuel utilization, routine maintenance, log books, insurance, driver files, vehicle files, etc.)Oversees the maintenance of forklifts and other equipment, adhering to preventive maintenance schedules and anticipating potential problems and defect.Ensures proper documentation of daily routine check of all equipment (trucks, forklift). Signs and approves BLOWFACTS.6. Financial ManagementManages budget and controls expenditures against business plan (BP) and forecasts (i.e. fuel utilization, warehouse materials usage, etc.)Minimizes variable costs such as overtime and NCR deployment.Continuously looks for financial optimization opportunities internally and externallyEnsures accurate and timely reporting of warehouse and transportation variables impacting financials such as breakages, forklift and truck downtimes, Bad Orders (BO) disposal, scrap disposal, etc.7. Third Party RelationsEvaluates and reviews performance of warehouse allied and logistics service providers against criteria and service level agreements. Provides People team opportunities areas.Ensures compliance of third-party service providers with company policies or procedures for product handling, product transit or delivery.Ensures compliance of third-party service providers with government regulatory requirements.Continuously engages contractors to ensure maximum productivity and foster business partnerships and good relations.8. Continuous Improvement / Project ManagementBuilds a culture of business process improvements among team membersInitiates or supports continuous improvement initiatives and identifies inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.Facilitates documentation of business requirements and adherence to quality procedures9. People ManagementBuilds team philosophy and cultivates a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company’s targets and objectives.Conducts interviews and selects the most suitable candidate for vacant positions in his team.Provides regular coaching and mentoring to assigned associates to ensure that expectations from the role are constantly met.Conducts regular performance reviews to manage team performance and to set a clear career plan for his/her direct reports.Identifies developmental needs and competency gaps of each team member and facilitates the execution of the IDP.Develops and implements effective feedback and recognition system for his direct reports.Reviews and approves the attendance of the team, including leaves, shifting and overtime, to ensure continuous operations and compliance with cost directions, budget and Company policies and procedures.Implements Company rules and regulations among his direct reports and performs consequence management or institute disciplinary measures in cases of violations.Spearheads People Development Forum/ Succession Planning for his team with the rest of the leadership team and ensures progress on the identified development areas for each of his subordinates.Works with the rest of the management team in laying-down and executing programs in his area of assignment.Responsible in promoting industrial peace and cultivating engagement with labor unions.Actively participates in the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. Leads closure of grievance cases and LMC issues and concerns.9.
