ResponsibilitiesAbout the team The Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) analyzes and responds to time critical user data requests, preservation requests and inquiries from law enforcement agencies. LERT partners with Legal, Outreach, Policy, the Data Protection Office (DPO), Data Science, Project Management, Product and Engineering and other cross-functional Trust and Safety teams. Protecting user data and our community is central to everything we do. - Mentor, coach and lead a high-performing team of Law Enforcement Response Specialists based in Singapore and US who are on the front line handling a high volume of inbound user data requests from law enforcement agencies. Foster an inclusive, resilient team culture that supports sustainability and growth- Set clear goals, monitor performance metrics and workflow health, and coach team members to achieve high standards of execution. Empower the team to scrutinise requests to ensure strict compliance with applicable law such as the Tiktok’s Terms of Service, TikTok’s Law Enforcement Guidelines, SOPs and user privacy policies.- Communicate with law enforcement agencies, government agencies and internal stakeholders on detailed processes and policy questions.- Manage how LERT responds to all types of law enforcement requests for user data in the APAC and AMS region and working cross functionally to improve our policies and processes.- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to inform, influence, support and execute improvements to policies, procedures and tooling.- Gather and analyse relevant data to improve internal processes and consistently implement efficiencies in the LERT AMS/APAC team.- Produce reports for leadership, lead LERT related projects and work with cross functional teams to provide accurate data metrics for external publications such as Transparency Reports.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice or related field.- 3 - 5 years of experience in managing LERT, Legal Operations or Trust & Safety Operations.- Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder management skills.- Fluency in English and advanced English writing skills.- A deep understanding of how law enforcement agencies can access user data (e.g., court orders and other judicial orders) and experience in retrieving and formatting data using various internal tools and platforms that continue to evolve.- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to analyse and accurately process data in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently and take initiative- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectivelyPreferred Qualifications- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving risk landscapes; ability to drive clarity and structure for others- Experience with operational tooling, automation, and or data analysis (e.g. SQL, dashboarding tools)About TikTokTikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video.
