Job Title:- Lead/Senior UX DesignerLocation:- Spring TexasExperience : 7 - 12 YearsJob DescriptionThe Upstream division of Client makes multi-million dollar decisions every day to locate and produce energy products that will power and enable communities around the world. Forming and communicating these decisions requires a team of the most talented scientists, engineers, and operators to collect and analyze large, highly-technical data. As if that's not hard enough, we find that these super-brains are frequently saddled with manual, inefficient tools and processes.As a Design Lead on our UX design team, you'll lead UX projects for a small team of UX designers and researchers, and design innovative, research based solutions to tough technical problems. You'll also develop domain knowledge while working closely with development and project teams to make sure that the designed solution is implemented.In return, you'll have opportunities to work with and design for users across the globe as well as gain a deep understanding of the unique, scientific challenges of the Oil & Gas industry. You’ll also be part of a highly-collaborative team of some of the most talented UX designers and researchers in the business making marked improvements on how our users/customers work.Job ResponsibilitiesLead a small team of UX designers and researchers, managing work intake for your team, communicating timelines and resource needs with the larger UX team, the stakeholders, and the project team.Design innovative solutions which make users more productive so that they can focus on really tough challenges and not their tools.Understand research findings and incorporate them into your designs.Communicate designs through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes as needed.Design elegant interfaces and processes which make the complex, simple.Communicate, influence, and collaborate with other UX team members, stakeholders, and project teams.Adapt and flex to dynamic project needs and priorities.Collaborate with other designers to critique designs, build on standards, and contribute to the upstream technical design language.Maintain project flexibility, nimbleness, and velocity to respond to dynamic business needs.Educate and advocate for proper design principles and processes. Top 3 skill sets/technologies required for qualification: UX Leadership; has led small teams, managed stakeholders, mentored others. History of providing business value through User Experience Design Past experience in Oil and Gas or IT Operations would be differentiating.
