Pay Rate: $86.52/hour, depending on experienceContract Length: 1 YearLocation: Vancouver, British Columbia Raise is currently hiring a Training Lead Role (Learning Design Lead) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.DescriptionThe Training Lead (operating as a Change Management Professional) in this role will be responsible for advising on and executing key training and learning activities within high-risk or high-impact BC Hydro projects. This role is crucial for enabling the successful and safe adoption of complex organizational and technical changes, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills and deep expertise in instructional design, development, and delivery within large, complex project environments.ResponsibilitiesCore ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Alignment: Work with the Change Lead and Communications Lead to ensure that strategies and plans are aligned.Resource Management: Manage training resources as required (e.g., people, budgets, materials, etc.).Needs Assessment & Curriculum:Develop and perform formal training needs assessment and curricula (e.g., competency profiles, training programs, modules, materials, etc.).Material Design & Development:Design and develop training materials such as lesson plans, Instructor & participant guides and materials, exercise guides, and job aids.Apply organization guidelines, standards, and templates in creating training materials.Work with and/or lead other contributors and review their deliverables to ensure training materials include the key business change (e.g., process, responsibilities, procedures, etc.).Deployment, Delivery, and EvaluationDeployment: Develop the approach to training deployment and delivery.Delivery & Support:Lead and support training delivery (e.g., deliver content where appropriate or enable others to deliver).Provide coaching and mentoring to trainers and students as needed.Evaluation & Metrics:Develop metrics and tools to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and delivery, including lessons learned.Plan and manage the implementation of evaluation tools and corrective measures.Sustainment: Develop a sustainment plan and conduct handover activities to business operations. Qualifications3 to 5 years experience in designing, developing, and delivering training within large and/or complex project environments.3 to 5 years experience in working with and leading teams.Experience in designing, developing, and delivering training within large and/or complex project environments.Instructional design experience with Articulate 360Training design, development, and delivery, such as training materials (learning roadmaps, learning presentations, online courses, guides and materials, job aids, etc.) Develop metrics and tools to measure and evaluate effectiveness of training materials and delivery including lessons learnedNice to have:Change management, or communications experienceDevelop and perform formal training needs assessmentsLead and support training delivery in person or onlineApply BC Hydro guidelines, standards, and templates in creating training materialsDevelop sustainment plan and conduct handover activities to business operationsExperience with delivering compliance-related material, especially related to energy industry, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), IT, or cybersecurityAdvanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Education and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related discipline PROSCI Certification or CCMP Designation, an assetAdvanced English skills for professional environment, written and spokenAdditional InformationEvery contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”.
