Legal Counsel (Sole Counsel)

About the Role: Our client, a growing asset management company based in Singapore, is seeking a Sole Legal Counsel to join its team. This is a key hire to support the firm’s strategic and transactional work, particularly in connection with Hong Kong IPO projects and ongoing regulatory matters in Singapore.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary legal contact for the company, overseeing all legal and compliance matters.Work closely with external counsel on Hong Kong IPO-related transactions.Advise management on Singapore regulatory issues, including MAS licensing and compliance requirements.Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and internal policies.Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders as needed.Requirements:Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally trained at a reputable law firm.Experience with Hong Kong IPOs is essential.Familiarity with MAS regulations and the Singapore regulatory landscape is preferred but not mandatory.Excellent communication and drafting skills in English.Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage, as the role involves regular communication with stakeholders in Mainland China.
