Job Title: Part-Time Legal Intern – Research, Contract Auditing, and Process Documentation Department: Legal / Compliance Reports to: Legal Counsel Location: Alpharetta, GA (In-office) Role SummaryThe Legal Intern will support the Legal and Compliance team by conducting legal research, reviewing and auditing contractual agreements, and assisting with documentation of internal legal and collections processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and accurately.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct legal and regulatory research to support ongoing projects, compliance reviews, and policy development.Review, analyze, and audit contractual documents to identify key obligations, risks, and compliance requirements.Assist in evaluating collections processes and ensuring alignment with internal policies and applicable laws.Prepare summaries and reports of research findings, audit outcomes, and recommended improvements.Document and standardize existing legal and collections procedures, helping to create or update process manuals and templates.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Compliance) to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive legal and business information.Qualifications & Experience Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (LL.B., J.D., or equivalent). Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret and analyze complex legal and contractual language. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with document management systems is a plus. Interest in compliance, corporate law, or process improvement. Learning OutcomesGain hands-on experience in contract management and legal process documentation.Develop a practical understanding of compliance and collections frameworks.Strengthen research and analytical skills within a corporate legal setting.
