Location: Watford, LondonDepartment: OperationsReports to: DirectorsEmployment Type: Full-Time office based. Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator Role: We are a growing manufacturer and distributor of perfumes, body sprays, and personal care toiletries. While we do not manufacture in-house, we work closely with a global network of component suppliers, filling factories, and freight partners to deliver finished products to customers worldwide. Our operations involve both large-scale container orders and smaller-scale distribution via our warehouse.We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator to take ownership of the logistics side of the business. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with international imports/exports, shipping documentation, and managing freight and warehousing partners. We are willing to offer a competitive market salary based on your experience and qualifications. Benefits include a 37.5 hour working week, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and annual salary reviews. Car parking on site - would need to drive, experience in logistics, supply chain, or shipping coordination (FMCG or personal care sector preferred).Day to day responsibilities will include:Logistics ManagementCoordinate and follow up with suppliers for timely component readiness.Notify filler on component updates and align production planning.Oversee onward dispatch of filled products to customerCoordinate the movement of components from suppliers to filling factories, filling factories to customers, and warehouse to customers.Manage freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.Organise full-container shipments as well as piecemeal distribution.Provide POD & Invoicing instructions to AccountsDocumentation & CompliancePrepare and review shipping documents including delivery notes, bills of lading, and packing lists.Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including customs clearance, duties, and taxes.Maintain accurate records of all logistics documentation.Liaise with filler for required documentation.Upload and complete registration process.Supplier & Customer CoordinationLiaise with international suppliers on shipment readiness, lead times, and delivery schedules.Work with filling factories to track production and dispatch schedules in line with customer orders and delivery expectations.Communicate with customers regarding order status, shipping timelines, and delivery updates.Warehouse & InventoryOversee inbound and outbound shipments to/from the warehouse.Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock levels and smooth order fulfilment.Monitor and report on logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, freight costs, customs clearance times).Report on component wastageProblem Solving & Continuous ImprovementTroubleshoot shipping or customs delays.Negotiate with freight companies to secure competitive rates.Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.The ideal candidate will:Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or shipping coordination (FMCG or personal care sector preferred).Strong knowledge of import/export processes, taxes, duties, and customs clearance.Proficiency in preparing and reviewing shipping and commercial documents (proforma invoices, delivery notes, POs, etc.).Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, factories, freight companies, and customers.Highly organised with strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/logistics software (preferred but not essential).What We OfferOpportunity to play a key role in a growing international business.Exposure to global supply chain operations in the beauty and personal care industry.Competitive salary package (dependent on experience).A collaborative and dynamic work environment.
