Logistics Operations Specialist

Job Title: Logistics Operations SpecialistDepartment: Supply ChainJob Purpose:The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the daily logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role focuses on transportation planning, shipment tracking, inventory control, and process improvement to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.Monitor delivery schedules, ensuring on-time and cost-effective transportation.Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).Prepare and maintain accurate shipment and inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.Resolve logistics issues, delays, and exceptions proactively.Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.Optimize routes, loads, and transportation costs through data analysis and KPI tracking.Ensure compliance with customs, import/export, and safety regulations.Analyze logistics performance and prepare regular reports on cost, service level, and efficiency.Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and supply chain processes.
