Role OverviewAs the Management accountant, you will split your time between BAU work- looking after the financial accounting side of the business and working on commercial projects, utilising your management accounting capabilities.As the business evolves and implements new systems, this role provides an opportunity to support key processes, contribute to financial reporting, and assist with commercial decision-making across the organisation. You'll gain broad exposure to finance operations, analysis, and planning activities while supporting the business as it grows. Responsibilities Take full ownership of month-end reporting, journals, accruals, and reconciliationsPrepare management reports with insightful commentary for senior stakeholdersPartner with business leaders to provide financial analysis that informs operational and commercial decision-makingDevelop and improve internal controls, identifying gaps and implementing solutionsSupport costing models, pricing analysis, product profitability reviews, and margin improvement initiativesCollaborate with teams across sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to identify opportunities for revenue growth and efficiency improvementsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and cashflow analysisContribute to business case development for new initiatives, product lines, and commercial expansion projectsSupport process improvements, workflow redesign, standardisation, and automation to build scalable finance operations.Candidate Profile You are a technically strong accountant with hands-on month-end experience and excellent communication skills. You may come from manufacturing or a similar environment. You enjoy working with data, improving processes and engaging with non-financial stakeholders. You thrive in environments undergoing change, can operate confidently with imperfect systems and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
