Join our team as Manager, Air Freight at DGF Pakistan and be a part of a global leader dedicated to delivering excellence and sustainability in air freight logistics.Job PurposeAs Manager, Air Freight for DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), this role entails a crucial responsibility to develop and administer Operations/Customer Service plans and processes to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer’s global supply chain utilizing air transportation, maximizing profitability and optimizing utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.Major Job ResponsibilitiesContribute to develop airfreight operations strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, global guidelines and policies.Execute Air Freight Operations/Customer Service plans and processes to provide air freight forwarding for internal and external customer and achieve a desired level of customer retention.Assess and interpret to provide requirements of freight control center, and to support and provide operations team with the required details, information and instructions for operational performance.Implement freight administration in providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned line haul and flights required for hub and operations performance.Develop opportunities to expand business with new clients, conduct regular customer visits and continuously improve in-house customer services and different sectors as well.Lead pricing activities and responses to enquiries in a timely, efficient and globally competitive manner, guide regions/ countries on pricing, and monitor timely and accurate updating of local tariff.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, airlines, ground handling services, and other relevant vendors.Qualifications RequiredMinimum 5 years of experience preferably in Freight ForwardingPossess in-depth knowledge of air freight processes and industry best practicesStrong negotiation skill, interpersonal skill and problem-solving attitudeFunctional and analytical experience in Operations, Freight Management, Stakeholder ManagementHigh integrity with good work ethic.Interested in shaping the future of global logistics?
