We focus on providing equity to property developers and investors via mezzanine debt, blended whole loans and equity joint ventures tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Director, Lending to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growth and success.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financing needs and providing tailored solutions.Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the lending process.Credit AssessmentConduct thorough credit analysis, evaluate potential risks, and make informed lending decisions.Prepare and present credit proposals to the Head of Lending, the CEO and Investment Committee for approval.Market ResearchStay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform lending strategies.Share insights with the team and contribute to strategic discussions on product offerings.CollaborationWork closely with internal stakeholders, including risk, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth loan processing and execution.Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to align lending strategies with broader business objectives.Portfolio ManagementMonitor the performance of existing loans, assess borrower performance, and address any concerns that may arise.Implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s investments.ReportingPrepare and present detailed reports on lending performance, market insights, and potential opportunities to senior management.Maintain comprehensive documentation of all lending activities and decisions for compliance purposes.Communicate with CapitalGroup’s investor base including presenting new investment opportunities and reporting related to existing investments.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) an advantage.Minimum of 3 years of experience in lending, finance, or related roles, with a focus on property development and mezzanine finance.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to assess complex financial information.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build client relationships.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.A strong understanding of the property finance market and current lending trends.Reporting StructureThe Manager/Associate Director, Lending will report directly to the CEO and the Head of Lending.
