Position PurposeApollinaris is a fast-growing, independent firm serving as the trusted investment advisor to New Zealand’s most successful families. We are looking for a Senior Investment Analyst who is deeply passionate about investment research and dedicated to providing institutional-grade insights. You will join a small, hands-on team where you will be expected to take high levels of responsibility and grow alongside the firm.Key Responsibilities1. Investment Research & Due DiligenceTake responsibility for the firm's investment research functions.Conduct rigorous monitoring of existing managers and research potential new managers.Analyse manager performance and strategy, including systematic managers and index-based approaches.Deliver superior analytical expertise with meticulous attention to detail.2. Portfolio Management & ModellingUtilise spreadsheets and dedicated software to model portfolios.Assist with the portfolio rebalancing process to ensure alignment with client objectives.3. Client Support & CommunicationDraft market and portfolio updates for inclusion in client reports.Support the client relationship lifecycle by assisting with preparation, attendance, and follow-up for client meetings.Experience & QualificationsWork Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional work experience, with at least 2+ years specifically within the investment, wealth or fund management industry. Technical Background: Prior experience in manager or fund research is highly preferred.Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the fund management and wealth management landscape.Candidate Attributes & Cultural FitThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Adaptability: Proven ability to pivot and adapt in a dynamic market environment.Independence: A self-starter who can work independently while remaining a core team player.Service Mindset: Someone who genuinely wants to serve our clients' best interests.Passion: A real interest in investment markets and a desire to build a long-term career with the firm.Role specifics This is a full-time position.
