The role is responsible for driving structured project delivery, embedding change management practices, and enabling business process improvement to support strategic transformation priorities. The Manager: Change ensures that initiatives are implemented efficiently, adopted effectively, and deliver measurable business value with minimal disruption to operations.RequirementsExperience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations, or a related field.Certification in Project Management and/or Change Management (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Prince2) preferred.Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in managing business change, projects, or transformation initiatives.Experience leading project and process teams in a financial services or investment operations environment.Strong working knowledge of operational processes, systems, and governance frameworks.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcessTranslate strategic transformation priorities into executable change and project delivery plans.Manage the end-to-end delivery of business change initiatives in alignment with approved business cases and transformation objectives.Oversee the implementation of change management frameworks, tools, and methodologies that support smooth adoption and sustainability of change.Coordinate and manage the portfolio of change and transformation projects within Institutional Operations.Lead Project Managers and Business Process Analysts to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business outcomes.Drive process analysis, optimisation, and re-engineering to improve efficiency, control, and client experience.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues impacting project or change outcomes.Establish performance metrics and monitor adoption, utilisation, and realisation of business benefits.Support the Head: Business Transformation in tracking progress, compiling reports, and providing insight to leadership and governance forums.Ensure compliance with change governance standards and processes.Client ServicesMaintain transparent and consistent communication with all stakeholders to build understanding and commitment to change.Engage with impacted business areas to ensure readiness, alignment, and ownership of change initiatives.Provide regular progress updates and reporting to stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies, and successes.Support the business in maintaining service continuity and minimising client disruption during implementation.LeadershipLead and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers and Business Process Analysts.Prioritise workload and projects to ensure timely delivery of business-critical reporting.Drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.Lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver on strategic and operational goals.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, client centricity and continuous improvement.Identify training and development opportunities, needs, and facilitate and enable learning interventions.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.Allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet service level agreements and operational targets.Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, through personal involvement, guidance, commitment, and dedication in support of organisational values.Drive a culture that guides and directs best practice, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and cohesiveness.Enable a learning and growth culture whereby information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas is actively shared between team memberCompetenciesStrong delivery and execution Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable project and change plans.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong attention to detail.Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop teams.Solid understanding of business process optimisation and operational efficiency.Adaptability and resilience in navigating complex organisational change.Proficient in project management and change management tools and methodologies.
