The firm forms part of a dynamic and expanding national group with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, each led by strong regional management.As the founder transitions to group-level leadership, the firm is appointing a Managing Partner / Executive Director to assume full executive control of the Durban North practice. This is a succession-level appointment for a highly credible Chartered Accountant who will lead the firm into its next growth phase targeting R200 million in revenue over five years through both organic growth and acquisitions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipLead the firms operations, financial performance, and strategic direction.Translate group strategy into actionable goals and measurable results.Drive revenue growth from R50m to R200m over five years.Client & Business DevelopmentTake ownership of all major client relationships.Drive client retention, satisfaction, and cross-service opportunities.Identify and secure new business and acquisition targets.Technical & Regulatory OversightUphold the highest professional and technical standards.Serve as (or become) the firms Registered Auditor (IRBA).Oversee compliance, audit quality, and risk management.People & CultureLead and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team.Build a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration.Oversee HR and recruitment with support from the central administration team.Required ProfileQualificationsChartered Accountant (CA(SA)) non-negotiableEligible for or currently registered as a Registered Auditor (IRBA)ExperienceMinimum 10 years post-articles in audit, accounting, or professional services.At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.Proven success in growing a practice or division.Deep technical knowledge and commercial acumen.Personal AttributesStrategic, commercially minded leader with professional gravitas.Confident communicator and relationship builder.Integrity-driven, emotionally intelligent, and performance-oriented.Compensation & IncentivesExecutive-level remuneration and benefits.Performance-linked share options tied to profitability and growth.Long-term equity participation aligned with the firms 5-year expansion plan.SummaryThis is a high-trust, high-impact leadership role ideal for a senior Chartered Accountant ready to take full ownership of a thriving professional services firm.
