Join us and put yourself in good company!We are looking for a full-time Manager, Corporate Services in respect of an exciting new opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced corporate clerk who is looking to expand their leadership and team management responsibilities. As a key member of the Administration team, you will be reporting to our Co-Director, Legal Talent, and working closely with the Section Heads of the department. In this role, you will be responsible for directly managing a team of corporate services law clerks and overseeing the legal assistants within the group. This role is central to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient legal services to our clients by combining legal expertise, project management, and innovative processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the corporate services law clerks and their legal assistant support teamAssign and oversee work, ensuring deadlines and quality and efficiency standards are consistently metProvide guidance, mentorship and training on work product and procedural mattersDevelop and present seminars and training programs for the departmentPrepare performance evaluations and provide feedback to foster professional growth and collaborationParticipate in firm-wide initiatives to implement new technologies and processes that optimize workflows and enhance efficiencyMaintain accurate records and prepare reports pertaining to assignments, evaluations, and other administrative metricsDevelop, maintain and update policies, procedures and best practices for the departmentParticipate in recruitment, onboarding and integration of corporate services membersFoster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the teamAssist with billable client work and other duties as assignedRequirements:Law Clerk Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of corporate services-related experienceIn-depth knowledge of provincial and federal corporate statutes, as well as with service provider corporate search portalsExperience with MinuteBox, as well as current virtual communication tools such as Zoom, and TeamsExcellent attention to detail, organizational, teamwork, time management and communication skillsStrong written and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently, take initiative, collaborate and interact in a professional mannerDiscretion and confidentiality are essentialDemonstrates excellent client service and ability to anticipate client needsWe Offer:A comprehensive benefits package including health and dental benefits; vision care; employee assistance program; life insurance; short and long-term disability; extended mental health benefits; a fitness allowance; and RSP matching programCompetitive compensation and vacation packageContinuing professional development opportunitiesVarious social events and wellness activities throughout the yearBusiness casual dress codeA short walk from Union subway station and accessible from the pathGoodmans LLP is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects different abilities, backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, identities and perspectives.
