Become part of our great team as a...Responsible for production-related communication flow and coordination between all company resources committed to each company product. Responsible for overall management the manufacturing of product. Overall responsibility for leading manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. Coordinates with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals.Essential Duties And Responsabilities Manages and directs all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements Participate in production decisions concerning new product lines. Use product specifications and release dates to determine product costs and resource needs. Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures. Help to promote a company culture that encourages top performance, safety and high morale. Run a safe, injury/accident free workplace. Coordinate the production aspects of the product, including production/art schedules and milestones to achieve the company’s goals. Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product and are in compliance with laws and regulations. Establish and maintain the production/art schedule for each product to meet established release date to meet customer requirements, Assesses performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met. Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company. Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions. Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues. Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance. Maintains awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues. Work closely with PM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation. Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed Production System. Supports the Site Director (SD) and Site Leadership Team (SLT) in the deployment of the Datwyler Production System (DPS) in the plant through the implementation of global standards based on current conditions. Responsible for implementing global production standards aligned with Datwyler values and strategy. Mobilize the organization through campaigns to enhance participation in Continuous Improvement activities and DPS deployment. To facilitate workshops and on-floor events, train employees in DPS Lean principles, methods, and tools. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent degree required. 10+ years of experience in each phase of production operation, including managing employees and process implementation 5 years’ experience in managerial positions, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment Minimum 5 years’ experience in production processes in automotive manufacturing environment (rubber or polymer molding background preferred). Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementing Production Systems and possess expertise in Lean principles and methodologies. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Proficiency in Problem Solving Methodologies and Statistical Quality techniques (8-D, CORE Tools) Thorough Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes Basic understanding of keyboard, Monitor and Hard Drive, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
