Manager, UX/UI Design

Summary:Manager, UX/UI is expected to work independently, lead through ownership, and adopt new ways of working fit for the AI era. This role is a design lead position focused on managing the quality, direction, and consistency of UX/UI across digital products. Rather than managing people, you are responsible for managing the design itself—from strategic thinking to hands-on execution. You work closely with the Head of Digital Platform to define design strategy and lead its execution, while also providing design direction and mentorship to individual designers when appropriate. Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and oversee UX/UI strategy aligned with the company’s digital roadmap.Lead and execute key design initiatives across platforms (app, web, self-service).Ensure quality and consistency of design through reviews, system thinking, and scalable patternsCollaborate with the Head of Digital Platform to drive design planning and execution.Provide direction and mentorship to other designers when needed.Proactively identify gaps, propose improvements, and deliver complete, actionable solutions.Represent design perspectives in high-level product and strategic discussions.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or a related field is preferred (however, equivalent experience and demonstrated design talent will also be considered). 8–12+ years of experience in UX/UI, including 3+ years in a leadership roleStrategic mindset with proven experience managing design systems and cross-platform UX strategyExpertise in Figma, design operations tools, and collaborative workflow platformsFluency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) when needed for visual polish or guidanceStrong grasp of platform-specific design (iOS, Android, responsive web, self-service interfaces)Experienced in user research synthesis, journey mapping, and experience architectureFamiliar with global UX standards and able to adapt them to local and emerging marketsExcellent stakeholder communication and critical thinking skillsVisionary, metrics-informed, and committed to delivering design excellence through personal contribution Tools & MethodsUI Design: FigmaBasic graphic: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)UX Methods: User Research, Usability Testing, Journey MappingUI Competencies: Responsive Design, Typography, Accessibility (WCAG) Design System📥𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐰:Tel. 077 257 376 (Telegram available)Email: careers@cellcard.com.kh
