The engineer is responsible for wiring and panel layouts, and various production support tasks. They must be electronically skilled, quick to learn, and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.Specific Duties of the Manufacturing Electrical Design Engineer, ControlDesign custom electrical control panels for customer-specific industrial equipment including schematics, panel layouts, and detailed component data for BOMsEnsure designs comply with UL508A and other relevant standards and safety codesSupport the Product Development team by designing and executing test plans to validate electrical components and PCBA prototypesOptimize firmware to improve performance and develop new featuresCollaborate with the Production team to implement electrical assembly and test procedures that improve efficiency and qualitySupport the Sales team by providing quoting and technical information for customer reviewImplement ECR/ECO changes to BOMs and schematicsDevelop customer support documentation for installation and maintenanceCollaborate with service team to provide customer support, including technical calls with customers and occasional site visits for troubleshooting and installationEducation and Experience Requirements for the Manufacturing Electrical Design Engineer, Control PanelsAssociate’s degree in electrical engineering and 3+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experienceDemonstrated proficiency in producing industrial control panel schematics and panel layouts with CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)Understanding of electrical power distribution, motor control, and industrial control systemsUnderstanding of electrical standards (UL508A, NEC, etc.)Experience with ECI M1 ERP software desiredLadder logic programming for industrial PLC experienceAutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks experience a plusUL508A MTR certification a plusThe Manufacturing Electrical Design Engineer, Control Panels, is a direct hire position.
