Role Overview: The Senior Procurement Specialist has an overall responsibility to lead and execute the procurement process within the assigned category group, ensuring business needs are met while maximizing value for the organization.

They will adhere to established sourcing procedures and leverage industry best practices to deliver optimal outcomes. The Senior Procurement Specialist will also provide guidance, coaching, and development to team members, fostering capability growth and enabling them to achieve high performance. Main Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure that the procurement activities are carried out as per the Supply Chain Manual and approvals are sought as per the Limit of Authority Manual (LOAM). Ensure achievement of defined objectives and KPIs, including but not limited to PR-PO turnaround time, delivery of savings targets, on-time deliveries, timely renewal of contracts.

Proactively respond to and escalate issues, complaints, and other cases to Category Lead and Head SCM for timely resolution. Actively develop and maintain close collaboration both within and outside Supply Chain. Identify opportunities to execute Long Term Agreements (LTAs) to optimize spend and improve procurement process efficiency. Assist Category Lead for devising appropriate sourcing strategies for different categories. Coordinate with the End Users and Centre of Excellence (CoE), as appropriate, for consolidating demand across locations and suppliers. Manage complete contract life cycle including tendering/RFx, commercial evaluation and benchmarking, negotiations and contract preparation, award and close-out.

Prepare and present business cases for the approval of high-value procurements from Tender Board/Board of Directors. Coordinate with Contracts Specialist and Legal to ensure that the executed contracts safeguard the financial, legal, HSE, and other interests of the company. Ensure contract implementation and contribute to continuous improvement activities. Contribute to monitoring of market developments, innovations and technology trends. Implement activities from category strategy. Develop annual procurement planning. Assist Category Lead for identifying new suppliers to improve commercial leverage and service delivery. Manage the pre-qualification and on-boarding of new suppliers. Provide inputs for supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.

Ensure implementation of HSE requirements in the area of responsibility. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with HSE rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice. Required Qualifications & Competencies: Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. 8-10 years of related experience, preferably in an Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Company. Proficiency in the use of ERP SAP MM Module. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral presentation and fluency in English language. Leadership qualities with an ability to influence decisions.

Ability to motivate and support direct reports. Multitasking, self-starter and able to take initiatives and capable of achieving results. Effective dealing of complex tasks & situations.
