Marine Contracts Manager

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, administration, and compliance within the marine or offshore industry. This role is critical in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and commercial interests are protected throughout the lifecycle of marine operations. Key responsibilities include:Contract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate marine service contracts, charter party agreements, and subcontractor arrangementsProvide contractual guidance to project teams during tendering, execution, and close-out phasesLead contract change management, claims resolution, and dispute avoidance strategiesMonitor contract performance, obligations, and milestones to ensure timely execution and complianceMaintain contract templates and ensure consistent application of PXGEO's contracting standardsOffshore Operations SupportCollaborate closely with offshore operations teams to align contractual terms with operational realitiesSupport vessel mobilization and demobilization planning from a contractual and logistical standpointEnsure compliance with international maritime regulations, flag state requirements, and port authoritiesAssist in managing contracts related to offshore crew, equipment rental, bunkering, and marine logisticsOversee contractual aspects of HSE requirements, emergency response protocols, and operational risk mitigationParticipate in operational readiness reviews and post-project debriefs to capture lessons learnedCoordinate with marine superintendents and project managers to resolve operational-contractual conflictsStakeholder EngagementLiaise with legal counsel to ensure contracts align with regulatory and risk management standardsSupport procurement and commercial teams in supplier negotiations and framework agreementsAct as a key point of contact for clients and partners on contractual matters during offshore campaignsWho are we looking for?Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in contract management within the marine, offshore, or shipping industryStrong knowledge of maritime law, international conventions, and commercial contract principlesExperience with FIDIC, BIMCO, and other standard marine contract forms is highly preferredFamiliarity with offshore energy projects, shipbuilding, or marine logisticsLegal qualification or certification in contract law is a plusExcellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skillsProficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
