Our international, passionate, and ambitious team works at the forefront of Africa’s energy transformation – an industry with growth, purpose, and impact.The role:We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Operations Manager to optimise B2B promotionalcampaigns and strengthen the effectiveness of our marketing function across events, media, andadvisory services.This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves processoptimization, and is passionate about data, automation, and driving measurable results. Workingclosely with the Marketing Director, Marketing team, and Commercial teams, you will be theoperational backbone of marketing execution – ensuring seamless workflows, sharp insights, andsystems that scale.Key responsibilities:Marketing Automation & CRMOwn and optimise HubSpot (campaign reporting, workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, data hygiene, and systems administration)Design, implement, and maintain marketing automation workflows to drive engagement, lead nurture, and conversionAlign automation and CRM processes with the full buyer journey – from acquisition to retentionEnsure seamless system integrations (including registration platforms, event apps, and APIs) Data, Analytics & InsightsAct as the guardian of customer data – ensuring data accuracy, compliance, enrichment, and segmentationBuild and maintain dashboards to track campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROIRun advanced queries to create highly targeted and segmented campaignsDeliver actionable insights to improve conversion rates, audience engagement, and revenue growthSupport CRO strategies with A/B testing and landing page optimisationCampaign OperationsSupport the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across events, media, and digital platformsCollaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to streamline lead management strategiesMonitor and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for process optimisation and scalabilityReduce manual tasks by implementing automation and system-driven efficienciesTechnology & SystemsManage marketing systems (HubSpot, registration platforms, event apps) to ensure they are integrated and fully optimisedContribute to website optimisation, platform enhancements, and other technology solutionsStay on top of new marketing technologies and best practices, making recommendations for adoptionMinimum skills and experience:3–5 years’ experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, or CRM-focused roles, preferably in B2B events, SaaS, or mediaBased in Cape Town with a valid working permitStrong understanding of marketing funnels, CRM systems, automation tools, and data managementProficiency in HubSpot (workflows, reporting, automation) essential.Proficiency in data visualisation tools (Hubspot Dashboards, Power BI, LookerStudio)Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsExcellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, PECR, POPIA)Experience with event registration platforms and apps (preferred)Familiarity with attribution modelling and campaign-level tracking
