Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain inventory of firefighting equipment and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient storage.Coordinate with project managers and field teams to procure necessary materials, optimizing delivery schedules and minimizing delays.Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality firefighting components.Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate stock levels.Monitor material usage and consumption, identifying trends and recommending strategies to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation.Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformance to specifications, rejecting substandard items and coordinating returns.Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns, for accurate reporting.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures in the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and receiving processes, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.Desired Candidate ProfilePossesses a Bachelor's degree or Diploma holder.Demonstrates a minimum of 3 years of experience in material coordination, preferably within the firefighting industry.Exhibits a strong understanding of firefighting equipment, components, and industry-specific standards.Displays proficiency in using inventory management systems and procurement software.Demonstrates excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms.Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving material-related issues.
