Medical Affairs Associate:As a purpose-led, performance-driven organisation, Blackmores Group strives to create remarkable employee experiences through supporting a diverse and inclusive culture, creating leadership that inspires high performance, and providing everyone with opportunities to achieve their professional, personal and wellbeing goals supported by our flexible work practices and family friendly policies.Blackmores Group operates in 11 markets, with headquarters in Sydney, an international state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Braeside, Victoria and additional offices in South East Asia and China.This is a hybrid role, where 2 days from home and 3 days in an office in Sydney – we have offices in Surry Hills, just beside the Central train station or Warriewood in the northern beaches – with carparking or public transport options available.Purpose of role:This Medical Affairs Associate role at Blackmores will be part of a newly established team this year and you will support the development of the medical affairs function, working closely with the Head of Medical Affairs to ensure scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and excellence in medical marketing.This role will play a crucial task of reviewing advertising materials to ensure compliance with TGA advertising regulations and internal standards and develop and maintain Claims Evidence Files (CEFs) to support product marketing claims. You’ll help ensure that Blackmores leads the way in evidence-based, compliant medical marketing – enhancing product trust, supporting commercial success, and reinforcing our position as a respected leader in natural health.This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise in medical affairs within a dynamic and growing team. We are open for a candidate with a strong TGA regulatory affairs foundation coupled with TGA advertising review experience or a solid early career medical affairs professional that is keen to be part of a pioneering team.ResponsibilitiesLead the development, maintenance, and governance of Claims Evidence Files (CEFs) to substantiate product claims across the Global portfolio.Review and approve advertising, promotional, and educational materials, ensuring compliance with the TGA Advertising Code.Provide medical and scientific input into marketing claims, ensuring alignment with the latest evidence, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure that all communications are evidence-based, accurate, and consumer-appropriate.Support the creation and delivery of medical training and education materials for healthcare professionals, consumers, and internal stakeholders.Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and scientific trends in complementary medicine to identify opportunities, risks, and inform business strategy.Act as a scientific resource for internal teams, helping to ensure alignment between product messaging, medical evidence, and regulatory obligations.Who are you?An existing people leader who is engaging with ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field (e.g., pharmacy, medicine, nutrition, biomedical sciences). A higher degree (e.g., MSc, PhD) is a plus.Experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of listed medicines, over the counter medication (OTC) or complementary medicine will be an added advantage.
